Ultimate Baked Hot Wings Recipe 🍗🔥

If you're a fan of crispy, juicy wings with a perfect blend of spice and tang, this recipe is for you! Made with a Costco 30-pack of wings, these are seasoned to perfection, baked until crispy, and tossed in a delicious homemade hot sauce. Let's dive into this mouthwatering recipe!

Ingredients

Wings:

  • 30-pack wings from Costco

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  • Garlic powder

Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup Frank’s Red Hot

  • 1 stick Kerrygold butter (or ghee if doing Whole30)

  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

Instructions

1. Prepare and Bake the Wings:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Season the Wings: Place the wings in a large bowl and season generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Toss to ensure all wings are evenly coated.

  3. Bake: Arrange the seasoned wings on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, flipping halfway through for even cooking.

2. Prepare the Sauce:

  1. Heat the Sauce: While the wings are baking, prepare the sauce. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine 1/2 cup Frank’s Red Hot, 1 stick of Kerrygold butter (or ghee), and 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar.

  2. Simmer: Heat the sauce mixture for 5 minutes or less. Be cautious— the longer it heats, the spicier it becomes.

3. Toss and Broil:

  1. First Toss: Once the wings are done baking, remove them from the oven and place them in a large bowl. Pour the prepared sauce over the wings and toss to coat evenly.

  2. Broil: Return the coated wings to the baking sheet and place them under the broiler for 5 minutes. This will help the sauce caramelize and make the wings extra crispy.

  3. Second Toss: Remove the wings from the oven again and give them a final toss in any remaining sauce before serving.

4. Serve and Enjoy:

  1. Plate and Serve: Arrange the wings on a platter and serve hot. They pair perfectly with celery sticks, carrot sticks, and a side of ranch or blue cheese dressing.

Tips and Variations:

  • Extra Crispy: For even crispier wings, pat them dry with paper towels before seasoning and baking.

  • Mild Sauce: If you prefer a milder sauce, reduce the cooking time to less than 5 minutes to prevent the sauce from becoming too spicy.

  • Whole30: Use ghee instead of butter to keep this recipe Whole30 compliant.

These wings are perfect for game days, parties, or a fun family dinner. The combination of savory, spicy, and tangy flavors will have everyone reaching for seconds. Enjoy!
